Rachael was admitted to practice in 2013, and began her legal career at one of Australia’s largest plaintiff law firms, in its medical negligence practice. In this role, she represented injured adults and children in the County and Supreme Courts of Victoria, while also managing the personal injury claims of hundreds of Australian women against breast implant manufacturer, Dow Corning. She was later seconded to the professional standards and risk team, where she advised private practice lawyers in relation to potential claims of professional malpractice.
Rachael is passionate about holding individuals and institutions to account for the historic abuse of children in their care.
Rachael previously worked as a registered nurse in critical care.
